Portland Animal Welfare Team
The Portland Animal Welfare Team seems to be a mass movement, volunteer-run nonprofit that helps over 1,000 families in the Portland area each year by providing essential veterinary services. They assist people who are homeless, living in transitional housing or public housing, as well as people who are temporarily experiencing financial hardship that prevents them from getting their pets to the doctor.
Many of the clients consider their beloved pet’s place of residence to be their home.
Through a comprehensive medical programme at our location in Northeast Portland, PAW Team offers veterinary care. This programme includes weekday appointments and drop-in wellness clinics. We offer a wide range of services, such as basic health care, immunisations, parasite control, medicine, management of some chronic diseases, food, and pet supplies. Our clinics run solely on the selfless time and effort of a network of volunteers; we do not employ any vets.
